Richard, born on May 5, 1954 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his mother Pamela; his stepfather Al; and his father James. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Bennett (Michael), Richard Fontaine Jr. (Cassidy) and Katherine Connors (Michael); his grandchildren, Mason, Nolan, Amelia, Fischer, Luke, Theodore and Beau; and his brothers, Robert Fontaine and Paul Fontaine.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cleveland Heights Clubhouse (2900 Buckingham Ave, Lakeland, FL 33803).
In lieu of flowers the family asks for a donation to Toys for Tots.
