She was predeceased by: her mother Della Daniels; her son Terry Ray Vance of Nolanville, Texas; her grandchildren, Haley Vance and David Workman; her stepson Dedo Workman; and her siblings, Robert Earl "Buddy" Daniels, Wanda Daniels Workman, Anna Ruth Daniels Richards of Wilman, Daniels Gresham, Connie "Nana" Daniels Stafford and Helen Daniels Hohl.

She is survived by: her husband Charles D. Workman; her children, Cynthia Timian (Jim) of Daleville, Teddy Joe Vance (Lesli) of Eufaula and Sherri D. Vance of West Pueblo, Colorado; her grandchildren, Allesha Byrd, Mick Heberly, Kyle Vance, Tyler Workman, Erika Clark and Whitney Workman; her sisters, Dorothy Daniels Goodale, Peggy Daniels Minter and Joann Daniels Sohn; and her pet Sasha. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Shirley's memory.
