He was predeceased by: his father Albert John Ament Sr.; his sister Shirley Lednum; and his brother-in-law Thomas D'Alonzo. He is survived by: his wife Susan D'Alonzo Ament; his children, Austin Ament of Tampa, Florida and Danielle DeCarlo (Kevin DeCarlo); his grandchildren, Anthony, Gabrielle and Adelina of Freeland, Maryland; his son Jonathan Ament (Courtney Borton Ament); his grandchildren, Sawyer and Sloane of Charlotte; his foster children, Tawanna Gans of Wilmington and Jessica Samson of Clearlake, California; and his siblings, Robin Schlotterback of Middletown, James Ament of Bear and David Ament of Litchfield Park. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
