Rooney, IV of Naples, FL, Alexandra C. Rooney (Tyler Cassidy) of Pittsburgh, PA, Heather R. Rooney of Naples, FL and Brian X. Rooney (Ashley) of Naples, FL.; his grandson Russell J. Cassidy; and his siblings, Karen Rooney of Philadelphia, PA, Michael Rooney (Erin) of Pittsburgh, PA and Susan Grove (Ron) of Pittsburgh, PA. He was also cherished by 8 nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
