He was predeceased by: his parents, Wenhui Chwan and Duanyun Chwan; and his former wife Yin. He is survived by: his wife Darlene E. Carpenter; his children, Winston Kyan of Terryston and Andrea Kyan; his grandchildren, Marinn and Luca; and his siblings, Benzhen Chuan and Peishu Chuan.
