He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard N. Benedict and Suzanne M. Benedict (Kuehl); and his brother Brian S. Benedict. He is survived by: his sisters, Carolyn B. Schweikert of Newton, NC, Barbara Benedict of Chagrin Falls, OH and Vivian B. Aiello (Frank) of Naples. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and great nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church (5225 Golden Gate Pkwy, Naples, FL 34116). A burial was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Palm Royale Cemetery (6790 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL 34119).
