He was predeceased by: his stepson Matthew; his parents, Emil Wagner and Cecelia Wagner; and his siblings, Mary Dolores Pforr, Dennis Wagner and Richard Wagner.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Mary Alice Lehmann (Craig) of Naples Florida, Ann LaFave (Richard) of Troy Michigan, Clare Lesak of Naperville Illinois and Diana Frendt (Michael); his grandchildren, Matthew Lehmann (Katherina), Molly LaFave Miller (Collin), Kathryn Lehmann, James LaFave, Jack LaFave, Michael LaFave, Michael Lesak, Meghan LaFave, Kathleen LaFave, Lauren Lesak, Margaret Frendt, Lillian Frendt and Cecilia Frendt; and his siblings, Rozella Nelson, Elayne Jacobson and James Wagner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
