“(cont). At the end of the semester Swoop moved back home and we did not see him again. There were no cell phones and no social media but I still tell stories about Swoop to this day.Me telling one story led to a local frat brother locating Swoop through some frat brothers who live in Texas but are from Kentucky. Just a few months ago Swoop got a chance to catch up with his line brothers after all those years. We are glad for that opportunity. Swoop will be missed and remembered in Texas.”

“I first met Eric "Swoop" Wofford in the fall of 1979 when he was randomly assigned as a roommate to myself and my fraternity brother Curtis Hill. We were attending East Texas State University. We took to Swoop right away. He had one of the best personalties ever, and an infectious smile. We hung out and played a lot of basketball and Swoop was a great player. His relationship with Curtis and I influenced him to pledge Omega Psi Phi Fraternity the next semester and I was his Dean of Pledgees.”
