“I'm so sad to hear of the passing of my uncle Gene. I have fond childhood memories of his kindness and humor. He was often a jokester and had a love of airplanes. He was also a devoted son to his parents and took care of them in their later years . As a kid, he took me up in a little two-seater plane. I remember him flying me over the ocean in Southern California where he lived. Now he can finally spread his wings.”

“I am old enough to remember Gene's grandmother. We called her Aunt Mag. It seemed like a mountain to a little kid to travel up the hill in Easton to see her. It is my only connection to Gene. I recently learned of Gene's Navy service in WWII. My Dad also fought in the Pacific theatre against the Japanese. It is sad that instead of a card shower for Gene, it is now his impending funeral. I am the grandson of Herman and Mae Kreutzer of Easton, Ks. God Bless Gene.”
