He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hislop and Mary Hislop; his wife Florence Hislop (Kempin) of Edinburgh; and his daughter Carolyn. He is survived by: his children, John M. Hislop (Cathy), David M. Hislop and Linda H. Watts (Hubert); his grandchildren, Ian Ford, Jennifer Cooper (Charles) and John M. Hislop Jr. (Kara); and his great grandchildren, Landon Cooper and Ian Ford.
