He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Deibler (Muir); his parents, James R. Deibler, Sr. and Ethel Deibler (Brown); his sister Carolyn Holmes; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Holmes.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, James Kelly (Mary) and Joan Lowrey-Muenz (Ronald Muenz) of Bluffton, SC.; and his grandchildren, Jamie Martin (Mike), Jennifer Lorwey-Bereheiko (Robert Bereheiko), Christine McCarthy, James Kilmoon (Phoebe), Scott Muenz (Julie) and Sara Youssef (Joseph). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
