He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry McNamara and Ella McNamara (Wagemaker); his wife Ceil; his son Paul; his siblings, Larry McNamara (Marge), Dan McNamara, Jean Rolsing (Dale) and Marie McNamara; and his brother-in-law John McCormick.

He is survived by : his children, Kathleen Dant (Robert) of Naples, FL, Sheila Kienzle (Peter) of Olivia, Steven McNamara (Lynn) of Oronoco and Thomas McNamara of Olivia; his grandchildren, Kevin "Mac" Ayers, Sarah Mackedanz (Mitchell), Brian Dant (Lydia), Jacquelynn Hochsprung (Paul), Ashley Bocchi (Dan) and Tyler McNamara (Trisha); his sister Helen McCormick; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann McNamara. He is also survived by his ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Service - Olivia (104 S 6th St, Olivia, MN 56277). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (302 S 10th St, Olivia, MN 56277).

Memorials are preferred to Olivia Lions Club or Renville County Hospice.
