The passing of John C. Cheek of Naples, Florida leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 3, 2026 at the age of 70. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Cheek and Jean Cheek; and his sister Carol Alton. He is survived by: his wife Pam Neal Cheek; his daughters, Erin Cheek Stem (Rich) and Lindsay Caldwell Cheek Andrews (Henry); his granddaughters, Dorothy and Penelope; and his brothers, Michael Cheek (Amy), James Cheek (Debbie) and Thomas Cheek (Kathy). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Helping Up Mission in Baltimore, MD which was close to John's heart.

“Please accept my sincere condolences to the family of John. I knew him from Dumbarton years & Central Presbyterian church. Later we worked together at Alex. Brown and he came to our Dumbarton reunion. I remember selling him my lacrosse stick for $5 so he could play Kelly Post after he played baseball where his Dad was a coach. He fell in love with the game. History was made! I’m so sorry that he left us so soon. We had breakfast last summer at Pine Ridge Golf Club with our mutual friend C B”
