He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Shields II and Pauline Shields-Harvey (Skinisky). He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Laura (John Nicholson), Janet (William Short), Karen Shields Jennison of Shrewsbury, MA, Noreen (David Mirabito), Susan (Jason Arcelay) and John "Jay" IV (Gemma Shields); his pet Siggi; and his siblings, Paul Shields of Auburn, MA, William Shields of Sarasota, FL and Annabeth D'Alauro of Shepherdstown, WV. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
Donations may be made in Jack's memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
