She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ross and Agnes Hartley; her sisters, Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Skinner and Nancy Cummings; and her husband Dewey Lee "Don" Carter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Longmire (Greg) and Brenda Morris (Eric). She is also survived by several in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
