She is survived by: her children, Michael Mettelman (Barbara Mettelman), Edward Mettelman (Carol Ricci) and Diane Mettelman (Tammy Chew); her grandchildren, Claudia Grisanti (Alex) and Max Dostal Mettelman; and her sister-in-law Zelda Solomon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In 2021, she published a second collection, A Poet Walks Through a Pandemic.
