He was predeceased by: his parent Louisius Tanis. He is survived by: his children, Marline Tanis Courageux, Jean Tanis, Magdala Tanis and Janot Tanis; his siblings, Saintelaine Tanis, Adiana Tanis, Irene Tanis and Lucienne Tanis; and his granddaughter Liyah A. Courageux.
