She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Sterrett Smith and Oliver Ledlie Smith; her husband David M. Turner, Sr.; and her brothers, James Sterrett Smith and Oliver Ledlie Smith.
She is survived by: her brother Patterson Smith; her children, David Jr. (Bette) of Waleska, GA, Alison Walton (Edward) and Debra Shearer of Ponte Vedra, FL.; her grandchildren, Valerie Turner, Drew Turner (Susan), David Turner (Megan), April Esa (Davin), William Bettes III (Tamara) and Eleanor Bettes Gaitan (Mingo); and her great grandchildren, Maenza Turner, Sandevan Turner, Rachel Turner, Claire Turner, John Turner, Wyatt of Washington and Penelope of Washington.
