He was predeceased by: his son Orlandito; his brother Oscar; his parents, Pedro and Isolina; his parents-in-law, Osvaldo and Rosario Ramirez; his nephew Onil Gonzalez; his niece Marilys Gonzalez; his brothers-in-law, Onil Gonzalez and Nenito Castañeda; and his son-in-law Richard E. Derkman.

He is survived by: his wife Rosario; his daughters, Mercedes and Martha Sosa; his grandchildren, Mercedes E. and Richard D. Derkman; his sister Lysbia Sosa; his sisters-in-law, Caridad Gonzalez and Zaida Sosa; and his nieces and nephews, Augustin, Lysbia R., Vilma Castañeda, Maria Teresa, Oscar, Orlando Sosa, Martha, Barbara Gonzalez and Rosa LaRue.
