He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Tamraz (Warda) and Alex Tamraz; and his sister Phyllis Snyder (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Thorson; his daughters, Megan Austin (Mick) and Nicole Daniels; his grandchildren, Abigail Austin, Madeline Austin, Jackson Austin, Cameron Daniels and Alec Daniels; and his sisters, Jeanette Smith (Dave) and Jane Tamraz (Mike Marchak). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
