He is survived by: his wife Bertha Sposato Heelan; his children, Peter R. Heelan, Jr. (Mary Pat) of Lunenburg, MA and Kathryn Heelan Plezia (Stephen) of Melville, NY; his grandchildren, Christopher Heelan (Mariah), Joseph Heelan (Shanleigh), Mary Catherine Heelan Garvey (Thomas), Stephen Plezia, Jr. and Allison Plezia (Brendan Benitez); his great grandchildren, Wilson and Nora Heelan; and his siblings, John Heelan (Jackie), Jean Burden and James Heelan (Deidre). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
