It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert H. Wanta of Naples, Florida, born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 18, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Don; his parents, Frank Wanta and Pauline Wanta (Lila); and his siblings, Hub, Max and Mary Jane Shafranski.

He is survived by: his sons, David and Dan; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Pavelski); his children, Greg Lessmeier, Julie Wanta (Krause) and Deb Wanta (Haden); his grandchildren, Matt, Katie, Andy, Shelley, Janelle, Martí, Eric, Michael and Marcianna; and his sisters, Bernie Firkus, Theresa Nolan and Rita Leary.

He mentioned many times that instead of flowers, he preferred that you consider a donation to help feed hungry children.
