He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernond Meyer and Alice Meyer (Moody). He is survived by: his former wife Rosemary "Nanny" Sampson; his children, Mary Wilson (Robert) of Davenport, Iowa, Robert Meyer (Renae) of Davenport, Steven Meyer (Debbie) of Park View and Vern Meyer (Kelli) of Davenport, Iowa; his sister Shirley Burns of Bonita Springs, Florida; his fiancée Barbara Stevens; his sister Darleen; and his great grandchild Henry Robert Jones. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1035 W Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA 52806.
