She was predeceased by: her husband Alan; her parents, John Roughton and Emilia Roughton (Clue); and her brothers, John and George.
She is survived by: her children, David (Kathy) and Kay; her grandchildren, Kara, Brent (Julie), Katelen (Bryan) and Garrett (Megan); and her sisters-in-law, Sheila and Heather. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Sylvia's name.
