He was predeceased by: his parents, Townsend Blanchard and Anna Belle Blanchard (Jackson); his former wives, Norma Louise "Peggy" Barr Blanchard and Phyllis Morris Blanchard; and his brother Mark Blanchard.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cedarblade; his children, John Blanchard (Megan) of Naples, FL, Susan Blanchard of Leesburg, VA, Jayne Reishus (Eric) of Naperville, IL and Stephen Blanchard (Jeanette) of Leesburg, VA.; his grandchildren, Amanda, Kelly, Kimberly, Julie and Daniel; and his brother Robert Blanchard of Centralia, IL.. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to the Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund.
