He is survived by: his former wife Pauline Caske Kapinos; his daughter Kim Kapinos; his sister Kathleen Danough (Mike); his nieces and nephews, Thomas Walsh (Tracey), John Walsh (Rina), Kellie Neils (Eric), Jeff Walsh (Camille), Joe Fazio (Jennifer), Tracey Fragapane (Sam), Jason Danough, Scott Danough, Samantha Vernold, Erica Miller (Adam), Katrina Fiorenza (Pat) and Kendel Miller (Steve); his cousin Lynda Smith (Leo); and his close friends, Tom, Karen Rahmer, Joe Paterno, Bill Ricigliano, Ray Martyniuk, Dan Washington, Brian Snow, Paul Panara and Jim Czerski.
