He is survived by: his wife Nadia Maroukian (Aristotle University) of Thessaloniki; his daughters, Barbara (Ioannides) and Margaret Ioannides; his grandchildren, Sophia Rappaport, Isaac Rappaport, Isabella Rappaport, Alexandra and Nicholas Cordoba; and his sister Sotiria Papadopoulou (Roula).
