He is survived by : his wife Karen; his children, Brendan Shaw (Kristina) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Kelly Abel (Jared) of Holland, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Curran Abel and Diem Abel of Holland, Pennsylvania; his brothers, Kevin Shaw (Laura), Mick Shaw (Kathy) and Teig Shaw (Melissa); and his sister-in-law Donna Harmond (Andy).

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM at the St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church (5345 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462).
