He was predeceased by: his parents, George Murray and Mary Murray; his stepfather Joe Pardi; his mother-in-law Emily Spink; and his brother George Murray.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Murray (Spink); his daughter Cortina Reed (Tina); his son-in-law Matthew Reed; his grandchildren, Evan and Avery; his sister Eva; his brother-in-law Robert Maxwell; his nieces and nephews, Robert Maxwell, Gloria McClellan, John Maxwell and Mary Byrd; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Wardell and Emily Martin. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and many close family friends.
