He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Goring and Veronica Goring (Arasin); his sister Sharon Shpakow; his brother-in-law Robert Hubbard; and his pet Rip.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his daughter Mallory Davis (Brad); his grandchildren, Joslyn Rose Davis and John Robert Davis; and his siblings, Marlene Hubbard of Chelsea, Michigan and Brian Goring (Janet) of Dumaguete, Philippines. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
To honor his memory, three of the veterinarians he mentored have established the "Robert L. Goring, DVM Angel Memorial Fund".
