She was predeceased by: her parents, Marguerite Groover Hitt and Henry Waldo Hitt Sr.; her brothers, Robert Hitt, Sr. and Waldo Hitt Jr.; her nephew Leslie Hitt; her siblings-in-law, Richard Clifton and Ginger Clifton; her great grandchild Carson Arrington; and her daughter Julie Watson.
She is survived by: her daughter Beth Norton (Clark); her son-in-law Joe Watson; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Hitt and Susan Hitt; her grandsons, Nathanael Watson, Joshua Watson (Hannah), Walter Arrington and Phillip Arrington (Rachel); her stepgrandsons, Matt Norton (Naomi) and Tim Norton (Kendra); her great grandchildren, Harper, Gunner Watson, Joseph Arrington, Colin and Carly Arrington; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Lauren, Graham, Wesley Norton, Caleb, Lydia and Emmaus Norton; her niece Tamara Lister (Mike); her nephews, Richard Clifton (Cathy), Colmer "Corky" Clifton (Joy), Henry Hitt (Natalie) and Robert Hitt, Jr.; Christina Arrington.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 28th 2026 at the River Church (606 Turner McCall Blvd NE, Rome, GA 30165).
