It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howard J. Oakes (Niceville, Florida), born in Cochranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his sons, Howard Jr. (Claudia), Rob (Tobi) and John (Suzy); his grandsons, Jim, Josh, Jack, Benjamin and Levi; his stepson Bhrett McCabe (Missy); and his stepgrandchildren, Logan and Caroline.
Together they cruised around the world, hosted parties, and dominated bridge tournaments near and far, all while navigating the challenges of Howard's advancing Parkinsons, the COVID era, and multiple moves.
