He is survived by: his son Philip; his wife Dianne; his siblings, Robert Hinds and Judith Reckman; his daughter Leslie Larkin; his son-in-law Keith; his grandchildren, Catherine Evans (Ross), Kelsey Paulson (Patrick), Benjamin Yeakel and Jennifer; his daughter Julie Butler; his son-in-law Shane; his grandsons, Christopher Butler (Carson), Michael Butler, Nicholas Giovanini (Elivet) and Bradley Giovanini; his daughter-in-law Susan; his grandchildren, Logan (McKenna), Spencer (Nikki) and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Marshall, Simon-Paul and Magnolia.

During Jim's twenty-one-year career, he served as a computer software engineer earning recognition for his contribution to the air weapons control systems of the United States Air Force.
