She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Turner Cowan and Eddie Lee Hales Cowan; and her siblings, Turner Cowan and Eddie Thomas Cowan. She is survived by: her husband Carl Edward Hartness; her son Carl Edward Hartness, Jr. (Sue Boyle Hartness); her grandchildren, Stephanie Rene Hartness, Jonathan Edward Hartness (Grace Touma Hartness), Rachel Beth Hartness and Leslie Nicole Hartness Valdes (Daniel Andres Valdes); and her great grandchildren, Westin Robert Hartness, Joel Ethan Hartness, Gabriella Elizabeth Hartness, Zoë Grace Hartness, Madeleine Sophia Hartness, Elijah Daniel Valdes and Esther Isabel Valdes.
