She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cunningham and Rose Cunningham. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Cahill; her children, John Ryan Strid (Kira) and Ashley Ann Facchini (Michael); her grandchildren, Ryan, Anna, Molly, Francesca Rose and Enzo; her sister Marcelle Rousseau; and her brother-in-law Jean Luc Rousseau.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Valerie's name to the American Cancer Society, an organization that was important to her.
