He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Balchunas and Anna Balchunas; and his siblings, Mary Jane Huntington, Evelyn Kaesar and Charles Balchunas.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Balchunas (Thomes); his children, Priscilla Prouty of Ashford, CT, Jennifer Werner of Vernon, CT and Edward Balchunas of Venice, FL; his grandchildren, Tyler, Heather Prouty, Ryan, Jillian and Spencer Werner; and his great grandchildren, Greyson, Levi Prouty, Nora and Grayson Werner.
