She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mertsock and Anna Mertsock (Martinka); her husband Robert E. Kenney; her daughter Nora Saunders; and her siblings, Anna, John, Mary and Joseph.
She is survived by: her children, Robert F. Kenney (Tracy Becker) of Bridgewater, CT, William P. Kenney (Michele) of Chester, MA and Mary Kenney of Venice, FL; her grandchildren, Jessica Kenney Olsen (Greg) of Franklin, NH, Elizabeth Kenney Szymanski (Nick) of Tallmadge, OH and Brooke Saunders (Phina Ouk) of Bristol, RI; and her great grandchildren, Kingston Kenney and Nori Saunders Ouk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church (146 Main St S, Woodbury, CT 06798). A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the New North Cemetery (87 Washington Ave, Woodbury, CT 06798).
Interment will be in New North Cemetery in Woodbury, at the intersection of Washington Ave. and Linden Rd. Kathryn asked that, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to St. Teresa of Avila Church, which can be made through Prince of Peace Parish, online giving.
