He is survived by: his children, Van Hertel Jr. (Lora), Erika Gray (Larry) and Heidi Faulkner (Jon); his wife Connie (Connie); his sister Dodie Houle (Larry); and his sister-in-law Mary-Beth Hertel. He is also survived by his children; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
