He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his stepchildren, Karen Silverman (Andrew) and David Ludwick (Mary); his grandchildren, William Silverman, Emily and Ludwick; his sister Edna Gray Warren; his nephew Jeremy Byrd (Megan); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Claire, Lily and Justin Byrd; his father-in-law James Slater, Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, James Slater III and Thomas Slater (Sherry).
