He was predeceased by: his parents, Louhis Brea and Marie Andrelina Ferrier; his spouse Paulonia "Popo" Boursiquot; and his siblings, Emil Brea, Louis "Lou Lou" Brea, Myrtha Ford and Elsie Brea Jean-Jaques.

He is survived by: his sons, Richard Brea and Benito Brea II; his grandsons, Benito Brea III, Brandan Greene, Nito "Chico" Brea and Gianni Brea; his great grandchild Yudonis Brea; and his siblings, Ernest Bony, Hugues Gaston, Fresner "Fish" Brea, Marie Yolene Gaston, Suzette Delisfort, Micheline Philippe, Ginete Dormoy, Marie Hyppolite, Ydeline Brea Jean-Louis and Elizabeth "Joujou" Durand. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters in-law.
