He was predeceased by: his parents, Maralyn Shefter and Howard Shefter; his brother Marc Shefter; and his sister-in-law Susan Shefter. He is survived by: his brother Steven Shefter (Robin); his nieces, Leah Bennett (Yehuda) and Sara Shefter; his nephew Rabbi Benjamin Shefter (Laura); and his great-nephews, Eli Bennett, Ethan Bennett, Isaac Shefter, Rafi Shefter and Noam Shefter.
