He is survived by: his wife Jean Clifton of O'Brien, FL; his children, James Clifton of Ocala, FL and Robin Mitchell of O'Brien, FL; and his sisters, Betty Jo Brown of Sampson, AL and Birdie Mae Potter of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
