He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawton Leondanous Barnett Sr. and Clovia Pearl Howell Barnett; and his son Barnett III. He is survived by: his sister Annette Land; and his children, Gwendolyn Elaine of Virginia Teresa and William Laron "Chico". He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
