He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Shifflett and Reva Shifflett (March); and his brother Henry. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his daughters, Patty Tucker (Ronnie), Debbie Pritchard (Billy) and Wanda Homan (Scott); his siblings, Viola, Allen, Bootie, Talmadge and Gilbert; his grandchildren, R. C. (Nichole), Holly (Nick), Tiffany (Tommy), Tyler Amber (Dallas), Lil Billy, Hunter and Walker; and his great grandchildren, Slade, Addison, Taylor, Blake, Emrey, Remi, Ava, Ella and Candler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
