He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Thomas and Willie Claire Lewter (Flythe); and his daughter Dana Kay. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Lewter; and his sons, William Thomas "Bill" Lewter and David Scott Lewter. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
