She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson McGinnis and Gladys McGinnis; her husbands, Carl Slater and Leonard Carmean; her son Danny Slater; her daughter-in-law Debbie Slater; her daughter Julie Carmean; her grandson Robbie Weaver; and her siblings, Charles McGinnis, Robert McGinnis, Rolland McGinnis, Darwin McGinnis, Melvin McGinnis, Lee McGinnis, Sharon Smith and CarolAnn Hopkins.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Slater (Burnice), Lisa Dearing (Grant), Cindy LoRusso and Denise LaVenture; her siblings, Dale McGinnis and Muriel Preston; and her grandchildren, Randy Slater, Jr., Melanie Gipson (Jeremy), Kiley Weaver, Kiesha Weaver, Emilio Osequera (Maisie), Jacob Dearing, Zachary Dearing (Julia), Amber LoRusso (Travis), Jaden LaVenture (Isaiah) and Ava LaVenture.
