Carol N Williams Obituary

Carol Neidigh (Snookie) Williams (78) of Ocala, FL passed away on June 28, 2023, in her home surrounded by her husband and sons after battling Parkinson's and COPD for nearly 20 years.

Carol was born June 15, 1945, in Knoxville, TN, the only child of Rodger V & Geraldine B Neidigh. She graduated from Mount Pisgah Academy, Candler NC in 1963. In 1967 she completed a BA degree in English Language and Home Economics from Southern Missionary College, now Southern Adventist University, She taught 7th grade English at Ringgold Ga for one year; was a teacher's assistant @ Mount Pisgah Elementary School while raising her two sons; was Secretary to the Boulder Memorial Hospital Chaplain for 5 years; Case Manager for East Tennessee Federal Bankruptcy Court for 5 years; and retired as Research Librarian for the Ellen G White Library after 10 years.

Carol excelled in dignity and quiet attentiveness to the needs of others. She thrived in natural surroundings, birds, flowers, and road-trips. She acquired a love of lighthouses and accomplished visiting most of the 129 in Michigan, and was working on those along the Atlantic coastline. These and family memories are captured in many photo albums she assembled and constantly reviewed.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walton A Williams of Ocala; two sons, Michael Todd Williams [Jenifer] of Oceanside, CA and Bryan Paul Williams [Nicole] of Elizabeth, CO; and one granddaughter, Charlotte Valentine Williams of Oceanside, CA. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Roger & Geraldine Neidigh of Knoxville.

A Memorial Service will be held in Carol's honor @ Roberts Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Ave., Ocala, FL on July 29, at 4pm. Elder & Mrs. Gordon Retzer, Elder & Mrs. Lewis Hendershot and Dr. & Mrs. David Steen will officiate.
