She was predeceased by : her former life partner James Joseph Deming, Sr.; her children, Elizabeth Janet Shepherd and David Anthony Deming; her husband Carl Mack; and her mother Marion Gertude Clement.

She is survived by : her children, Carol Ann Deming and James Joseph Deming Jr. (Mae); her stepchildren, Carl Mack (Cathy), Carol Miller and Linda Fletcher; and her close friend Linda Krall. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carolyn's name to the Epilepsy Foundation or Hospice of Marion County.
