It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher John Schmidt in Ocala, Florida, born in Taunton, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Karen Curry-Schmidt; his daughter Landyn Baines (Jake Slaughter); his mother Elaine Schmidt; his brother-in-law Lance Curry (Tara); his nephew Whit Curry; his niece Wynn Curry; and his brother Steven Schmidt.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Ocala Downtown Chapel (606 SW 2nd Ave, Ocala, FL 34471). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
