It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Hoyt of Ocala, Florida, who passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard "Ed" Hoyt and Virginia Hoyt (Lockwood); his former wife Mary Lou Hoyt (DeLaBruere); his sister Janice (Hoyt); his brother-in-law Cliff Pickard; and his niece Jodie Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hoyt; his daughter Raegan Flynn (Jon); his grandsons, Jack and James; and his siblings, Gary Hoyt (Deb), Karen Barrett (David) and Judy Dumont (Jay). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Merkel Cell Carcinoma Fund at give.uwmedicine.org in order for more research and education to be done into this rare.
